In case you haven’t heard, we’re celebrating the recently coronated King Charles’ birthday on Monday (don’t go to work people!), just ahead of his niece, Princess Lilibet, who last week turned the ripe old age of two.

According to a report from OK! Magazine, King Charles was looking for the perfect gift for his granddaughter and had “his aides looking at custom-made cubby houses, similar to what the Queen and Princess Margaret had when they were girls.”

However Prince Harry wasn’t a huge fan of the idea and had reportedly “warned Charles to be less extravagant”.

The official royal family social media accounts also refrained from a birthday shoutout for Lilibet because they “don’t mark the birthdays of non-working members.”

Prince Harry and Meghan famously stepped away from their royal duties and moved out to California back in 2020.
