Peter Robbins, the original voice actor of Charlie Brown, has passed away at 65. 

His family confirmed the former child actor had taken his own life.

The Peanuts actor provided the voice of the beloved comic strip character from the ages of 9 to 13, including the TV classics ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ and ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’.

He also appeared on ‘The Munsters’ and ‘Get Smart’ before retiring from acting.

Robbins’ love for the character of Charlie Brown was so strong that he later got a tattoo of the young boy and Snoopy on his arm.

It is understood that he struggled with mental health issues throughout his life, and also spent some time in prison.
