Police are seeking the help of Melburnians after two bandits took three luxury caravans worth of $200,000 last month.

Detectives in the Hume area are investigating three thefts that occurred in sales yards at Epping, Craigieburn and Campbellfield on November 24.

Police believed two unknown men driving a stolen Toyota Hilux cut through a fence to a caravan yard at Gateway Boulevard in Epping just before 1.30 am.

The pair stole a Jayco Silverline Outback caravan, worth more than $70,000.

They then went to a yard on Grasslands Avenue in Craigieburn and used tools to cut through a metal gate before taking a Leader Caravan.

Later, on the same day, they used their ute to ram a fence at a caravan sales yard on Link Drive in Campbellfield just after 11 pm hauling away a Retreat Whitsunday 21OR caravan.

The police have located the Toyota Hilux but have been unable to locate the caravans.

Investigators have released images of the stolen vehicle and the Jayco caravan in the hope someone may have information.
