A new $100 million water park could be coming to Melbourne and if it gets the go-ahead it’ll be one of the biggest in the world.

The Zagame’s Wild Water Park is set to be built in Dingley Village and once completed, will become the biggest indoor water park in the Southern Hemisphere at 18.200sqm.

It will include interactive attractions, as well as, jet-propelled uphill water slides and a giant 180-degree surf pool.

The biggest attraction looks set to be a 423m long indoor-outdoor ‘lazy river’ that will take customers underneath an aquarium.

The project has been proposed by the Pellicano family, who own a property and construction company as well as the Zagame family, who own hotels, restaurants and bars.

The building of the water park could create 1184 full-time jobs, with 600 permanent staff needed when it opens.

If the project is approved, it’s slated to open in Summer 2021.
