Despite milder conditions across the state, some East Gippsland residents have been forced to evacuate their towns.
Residents in Tamboon, Tamboon South and Furnell should leave immediately due to a nearby fire potentially coming their way.
On top of that, a bushfire east of Markous means that an emergency warning is in place for Bennies, Cheshunt South, Markous, Rose River, Top Crossing and Wabonga.
If residents choose to say, emergency services may be unable to helo them and urged them to leave using the Upper Rose River Road towards Wangaratta.
A spokeswoman for Emergency Management Victoria’s state control centre said:
“Some of those fires are misbehaving and jumping around, so the fire danger is still very real. Emergency services are working hard to return access to roads and help people get back to their homes.”
