Jane Fonda has been arrested at a climate change protest in Washington DC.
The actress was arrested at the US Capitol while peacefully protesting climate change, the Associated Press report.

“We feel overwhelmed and we don’t know what to do. We make personal choices like driving an electric car or going vegan and recycling and we think that that’s enough. And it’s great and we need to keep doing it. But this is a collective crisis that needs collective action now,” Fonda said in a video shared on social media.
Fonda reportedly moved to Washington DC for four months “to focus on climate change”.
Saying she's been inspired by Greta Thunberg, Jane Fonda tells @ABC she's going to hold a weekly protest in DC on climate change: "I'm moving here. I'm going to be here through Thanksgiving, and Christmas, sleep, rain, whatever it is."

The protests began Friday morning (DC time), and Fonda’s arrest along with others is an intentional demonstration.
She was led away in handcuffs and taken into custody.
