There’s been a terrifying discovery on a popular Melbourne tram on Sunday.
7NEWS.com.au reports that Amirhamed found a “bloodied syringe” on a seat while travelling on the route 78 tram from North Richmond to Balaclava.
“It was filled with blood. People were scared and the driver had no idea whose it was,” Amirhamed told 7 News.
There were children on board the tram.
In response, a spokesman for Yarra Trams said:
“The appropriate procedures were followed by our staff in this instance and the syringe was removed safely.”
