The heatwave expected to engulf Victoria is set to have an impact on the train network.

The mercury’s set to soar for the next four days and the V/Line is making important changes you should get your head around.

“When the temperature rises to 36 degrees Celsius or above, we take extra precautions to make sure our train services run reliably and safely,” V/Line’s website states.

This is expected to happen from today until Sunday and will impact the Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland and Seymour lines.

Some trips may take longer and others will be replaced by air-conditioned buses for all, or part of the journey.

If you think you’re going to be using the trains, head over to the V/Line website to download the Extreme Heat Timetable, or you can request one from your local station.
