An ANZ software issue has left thousands of Aussies without their pay.

On September 13th, the bank said monthly payrolls had not been processed and said: “Sorry for the interruption — we hope it doesn’t get in the way of your weekend!”

ANZ Australia then posted on Facebook saying, “Yesterday’s systems issue impacted some payroll processing, resulting in some people’s pay being delayed. We are really sorry this has happened and want to assure you we have a team working around the clock to resolve it ASAP.

“Any of our customers who feel they are out of pocket as a result of fees or charges incurred because of this should contact us on 13 13 14 and we will set things right. Once we have an update, we’ll let you know.”

Then, finally, this afternoon, the bank said the majority of payments will be processed by the end of the day.

An ANZ spokesperson said “The majority of people should get their pay either today or in the coming days,”

“We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused people.”
