Melbourne is set to be hit by a 43 degree day tomorrow and Yarra Trams have alreadydecided to cut services as a result.

If the city is to hit 43, it will equal the hottest December day on record, which was set in 1876.

Trams on two routes will all be replaced by buses while one route will be cancelled all day compeltly.

Metro Trains has no plans to change any services but train speeds may be reduced.

Route 78: Buses replace trams between North Richmond and Balaclava

Route 82: Buses replace trams between Moonee Ponds and Footscray

Route 30: No trams running


Route 12: Trams diverting down La Trobe Street between St Vincent’s Plaza and Batman Park
