Our train network is struggling to cope with passenger demand.

The Herald-Sun says new figures show 14-million more trips are being taken each year, compared to five years ago.

Officer and Diggers Rest were two of the suburbs hardest hit, with five times the passengers at the former and double at the latter since 2013.
