Halloween is starting to become scarily big business.

The traditional American holiday has exploded in Australia in recent years, with one-in-three adults now taking part in some sort of Halloween celebration.

Costume retailer CostumeBox has released its sales figures showing which Australian suburbs spend the most on Halloween.

Remarkably, the top 10 are all in New South Wales, with the first Victorian entry being Sunbury at number 11:
