More than 250 Jetstar staff have walked off the job on Thursday morning as part of a 24-hour strike as they strive for better wages and conditions.

It has been confirmed that 48 of the day’s scheduled flights have been cancelled, with staff from Sydney, Melbourne, Avalon, Adelaide, Cairns and Brisbane participating.

A Jetstar spokesman said affected customers were moved to new flights and will travel within hours of their original departure time, and in some cases were moved to Qantas flights.

Customers affected have been notified, however if you are still uncertain, you can check the status of your flight here.
