Melbourne’s first Taco Bell opens its doors on Chapel Street on Saturday but there’s free food up for grabs before that.
Between 12 and 3PM on Friday, every tram that stops outside Taco Bells’s new store will be treated to free Mexican food, delivered on a tram.
The menu that’s being delivered will include a Crunchwrap Supreme, Tortilla chips with nacho cheese sauce, and Churros with chocolate dipping sauce.
All you have to do to get food is board any Balaclava-bound tram at stop 51 (Malcolm St), put in their order, and enjoy the tram trip down to stop 47, where Taco Bell staff deliver your food.
Taco Bell spokeswoman Tamika Nelson says that the ‘tram-thru’ is the perfect way to introduce Melburnians to Taco Bell.
“We are extremely excited to introduce Taco Bell to the food capital of the nation, in what will be a quintessential Melbourne launch,” she said.
