Victoria’s health authorities have confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, with three confirmed to be community transmission.

Contact tracers have been able to link all three of the community transmission cases to the growing Black Rock cluster.

There are now 36 active cases of the virus in the state, with over 32,000 people having been tested over the last 24 hours.

Acting Premier Jacinta Allen said that the high testing numbers coupled with the low case numbers were a good result for the state.

“This is a really strong day for Victoria because it comes off the back of a huge number of tests,” Ms Allen said on Monday.
