More bad news for Aussies who love their garlic bread, Product Safety Australia have issued a recall for various types of garlic bread products nationwide.
Earlier this week we heard that garlic bread was temporarily off the menu at our local pizzeria, now we’ve discovered the full extent of the recall.
Here are the products that have been recalled:
ALDI Me’n’u Garlic Bread Twin Pack 450g – sold in NSW & Qld only. All ‘Use By’ dates from 01 November 2016 up to and including 15 February 2017.
Woolworths Homebrand Garlic Bread 450g – sold nationally. All ‘Use By’ dates from 01 November 2016 up to and including 15 February 2017.
FoodWorks Best Buy Twin Pack Garlic Bread 450g – sold in NSW & Qld only. All Julian dates from 6273 up to and including 7013.
Foodland Garlic Bread Twin pack 450g – sold in SA only. All Julian dates from 6273 up to and including 7013.
IGA Bakers Oven Garlic Bread Minis 4 Pack – sold nationally. All Julian dates from 6273 up to and including 7013.
IGA Bakers Oven Twin Pack Garlic Bread – sold nationally. All Julian dates from 6273 up to and including 7013.
Products are individually wrapped and then packed into cartons as per the product description.
What are the hazards?
The products are possibly contaminated with plastic, which could cause injury if consumed.

Consumers should not eat these products and are urged to either contact George Weston Foods Information Centre on 1800 132 347 or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
