One of our fave lollies is set to return to Australian hands after a deal was struck with one of the world’s biggest food heavyweights.

In an announcement on Thursday, confectioner Darrell Lea struck a deal to buy Life Savers from Swiss-based Nestle.

But Life Savers won’t just come back to Aussie ownership, oh no no no, their manufacture will also move locally. Currently, they’re made in New Zealand.

It’s estimated that about 20 million packs of Life Savers are sold every year.
