Cadbury’s Freddo frogs are set to disappear for a while.

The chocolate company has announced they will be giving the chocolate a rest as actual frogs need a spotlight placed on them.

The critically endangered frogs that appear on the Cadbury packet include northern and southern corroboree frogs, Baw Baw frogs, spotted tree frog, Tasmanian tree frog, armoured mist frog, Hochstetter’s frog, Archey’s frog and kroombit tinker frog.

As well as removing them to shine a light, Cadbury will also donate  $600,000 over three years to Zoos Victoria and Conservation Volunteers Australia to help the endangered frogs.

“We’re so proud to be able to work with these frog experts to deliver programs that will give these endangered species a chance to repopulate and flourish,” Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo marketing manager Katrina Watson said in a statement.
