We’ve seen all sorts of couples on Married At First Sight, including backgrounds, pasts and motives.
However, on the first episode of the 2020 season, we may have witnessed the most relatable couple yet, even if it started with some humour.
Poppy, a mother of two twins had difficulty coping after her wedding ceremony with partner Luke. She felt awful for leaving her children at home as she embarked on what could be a ten-week journey.
Even though she did pull through and managed to have some fun with her TV hubby, there is no doubt that it would’ve pulled the heartstrings of parents who would also struggle to leave their children at home.
So glad they're talking about their kids now and hopefully Poppy will feel better now #MAFS

Couldn't channel nine organise for poppy to see her kids regularly (off camera) throughout the filming? I couldn't have done it either #MAFS

I think people are being harsh & judgemental of Poppy prematurely. Her ex left her with TWIN BABIES when they were 6 weeks old. She has only known devastation and being the rock for her kids. Of course she knew she had to leave them to do the show but theory vs reality … #MAFS
