Terrible news has surfaced with TV and Radio Presenter Glenn Wheeler being knocked off his scooter at the intersection of Woolooware Rd and Caronia Avenue at around 4pm yesterday.
The Channel 7 and 2GB presenter was airlifted to hospital with injuries to his head and internally which has rendered him to an induced coma.
A statement read “there’s some bleeding on the brain but scans have come back with encouraging results”.
The 59-year-old woman who knocked Wheeler off his scooter was driving a Mitsubishi wagon. She has been charged with negligent driving occasioning grevious bodily harm and not giving way. She has been refused bail where she is being obtained and will appear via video link today. Our thoughts are with him and his family at this time.
