After Aussies young and old alike started freaking out that 80’s hitmakers Toto would be appearing at Falls Festival this year, now comes the HUGE news that the group will now also play TWO sideshows while they’re in the country.
It was announced in late August that the band will be returning here for the first time in a decade, and it feels that in that time, their song ‘Africa’ released back in 1982, has become even bigger as younger fans have really connected with the tune.
After Daryl Braitwaite played Falls last year bridging the generation gap of music fans, Toto are now expected to be another big crowd faveroute.
But if you can’t make it to the festival, all is not lost.
The Californian band who formed way back in 1976, have announced they will also play gigs in both Sydney and Melbourne.
It’s been announced they will also play at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and Melbourne’s Festival Hall in early January.
As well as ‘Africa’ fans will also get the chance to sing along to other classics in the band’s catalog including ‘Rosanna’ and ‘Hold The Line’
