Melbourne is supposed to be in for a visual treat tonight as the biggest supermoon of the century rises in the sky. Skies are currently cloudy, but if the weather clears – here’s where to get the BEST view of the biggest and brightest supermoon in nearly 70 years.
Tonight at 7:40pm, the moon is set to appear a whopping 14 percent bigger, and 30 per cent brighter than normal, so a PREMIUM position is essential for viewing this evening’s amazing astronomical phenomenon.

According to nine.com.au, Williamstown and the western side of Port Philip Bay are where it’s at. These coastal locations are the best placed to welcome the moon.
Pack a jacket and get there!
Can’t get to the either of these spots?
Now’s the perfect time to sweet talk a friend who lives in one of Melbourne’s high rise buildings – preferably with a view that faces east.
We’re crossing our fingers and toes that Melbourne’s cloudy, cold weather will clear up in the next few hours!
