Royal fans can now make sure their own dogs are treated as well as the Queen’s corgis, with the Royal Collection Trust launching a new range of posh pet accessories.

The new range can be purchased online at www.royalcollection.org.uk/shop. Available gifts include dog bowls made from English fine bone china and embellished with 24 carat burnished gold and a royal crest, and dog coats decorated in Hunting Stewart tartan – the livery worn at the Queen’s official residence in Scotland, the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Owners can even purchase a tan leather collar engraved with the words Buckingham Palace, or a tartan collar bandanna, while also on offer is a squeaker toy made of tartan and shaped liked a bone.

The Queen, who is known for her love of dogs and has owned more than 30 over the years, now has just two corgis, Holly and Willow, who starred in 2012 London Olympics Bond sketch, and two dorgis, Candy and Vulcan.

The range also includes leather leads, with the Queen known to take particular care of her own dog leads.

She once reportedly sent the Prince of Wales back to find one he had lost at Sandringham, telling him: “Dog leads cost money.”

The 11-piece range also includes a double sided grooming brush, an accessory pouch, a handmade tartan fleece blanket and pet beds.

Nuala McGourty, the Trust’s retail director, said: “We are pleased to launch another new retail range, this time taking inspiration from the well-known royal love of dogs. We hope that dog owners will enjoy spoiling their pets with these smart accessories.”

Those without a dog, could always opt for the cuddly version – a toy corgi.
