A vault belonging to Prince has been opened, and oh my stars has Christmas come early or what.

The vault, located underneath his Paisley Park estate, had to be drilled open, as only Prince knew the key code.

Inside, they discovered enough unreleased music to release a new album every year for the next century.

“When I left in ‘87, it was nearly full,” Prince’s former sound engineer Susan Rodgers previously told The Guardian.

“Row after row of everything we’d done. I can’t imagine what they’ve done since then.”

Prince had teased his fans about the vault for years, even namechecking unreleased songs, suggesting they’d be released at a later date.

But we’re not so sure that anything will be released anytime soon. There are already family squabbles surrounding Prince’s assets, particularly as he had no will.

Nevertheless, we hold a flame.
