After stepping up to finish Fast and the Furious 7, the movie his late older brother Paul couldn’t finish, Cody Walker has been recognised for his acting ability.
Cody’s older brother Paul was tragically killed in a car accident in late 2013, and Hollywood mourned the loss of the 40-year-old, with Fast and the Furious co-star Vin Diesel taking the loss badly. He even named his new daughter Pauline.
Now, according to Variety, the 27-year-old star is starring in a World War II movie, USS Indianapolis: Men Of Courage with Nicholas Cage.
Cage is playing the role of Capt. Charles Butler McVay, whose ship was torpedoed in the South Pacific in July 1945, after delivering parts for the first atomic bombs.
Cody takes a role as one of the crewmen, according to the publication.
According to a report on Daily Mail, the production has just started filming in Alabama.
It’s Walker’s first major role since helping to finish off Fast and the Furious 7 with older brother Caleb. Cody’s striking resemblance to Paul meant that the film could be finished off without the audience realising that Paul’s face was being placed over Cody’s using CGI technology.
