It’s been the case for a few years that Netflix will put new movies on their streaming service without the need of going to the cinema.

But, that is changing, with three new films The Irishman, Marriage Story and The Two Popes set to be released in cinemas before they are put online.

The Irishman debuted last week at the New York Film Festival to rave reviews, with Martin Scorsese’s film now set to make it to the big screen on November 7 before hitting Netflix on November 27.

The reason why this is happening is it allows the movies to be nominated for Oscars, as they have to have a theatrical release to be considered.

So, that $15 a month of yours may not get you as much original content any more!
