The world has lost of one the greatest artists of our time in music icon Prince
As the news broke, fans gathered outside of Prince’s estate in suburban Minneapolis, where the icon died at the age of 57.
He had been sick with flu symptoms and had last appeared at a party at his house last weekend.

The music legend had been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 – his first year of eligibility.
He performed George Harrison’s classic While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and stole the show without even touching the microphone.
He’d won 7 Grammys including Best Album and an Oscar for Best Original Score for the film Purple Rain.
It also gave him his first number one in Australia with When Doves Cry.
Prince was known for his incredible live performances. He combined Rock, RnB, Soul, Funk and other genres to create a unique sound that vaulted him to popularity. Early albums also drew controversy because they fused religious and sexual themes. He continued releasing music at a prolific rate and toured till the very end.
Notoriously reclusive Prince made limited public appearances, though he did appear as himself on an episode of TV comedy New Girl in 2014
Prince often performed songs late into the night at Paisley, anyone who grew up in Minneapolis in the last few decades has a Prince story. He sold 100 million records worldwide making him one of the best selling artists of all time. The semi auto biographical Purple Rain won an Academy Award and cemented his legacy.
Prince his Purple Majesty is dead at 57.
Prince – Death Of A Legend – the music icon left his mark in the musical world. His had a singing style renowned for its versatility of reaching the highest falsetto to the deepest baritone. Prince has influenced an entire generation of artists and devoted fans.
