You have probably heard by now that the great Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones passed away at age 80 during the night.
The news was confirmed in a statement that read: “Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather and also, as a member of The Rolling Stones, one of the greatest drummers of his generation.”
While news of his death has hit many hard, it has also given music lovers around the world a good opportunity to reflect on some of the great stories told by Watts and his bandmates over the years.
And having spent almost six decades as the drummer in the world’s most rock ‘n’ roll rock band, there are many, many stories.
