Pop-punk royalty, Mark Hoppus has given fans an update following his bombshell announcement about a cancer diagnosis.

Last week, the Blink-182 bassist and vocalist revealed that he has been undergoing chemotherapy for the past three months.

Hoppus then livestreamed a question-and-answer session with fans to raise money for a Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.

During the session, Hoppus confirmed that the chemotherapy had been going well, but has left him feeling knocked about.

“I went on a walk outside today and it was the first time I’d left my house in five days, pretty much,” Hoppus revealed.

“This round of chemo, I wasn’t totally stuck on the couch, miserable … I didn’t just feel like a poisoned, electrified zombie leaning up against an electric fence like I did the rest, the past couple of rounds.”

The 49-year-old says that while he’s feeling better with this round of therapy, he still won’t be leaving the house to hang out with other and risk an infection.

“I can’t go anywhere right now, I wanted to go to the Dodgers last night, I can’t. I want to go hang out with friends and go to a restaurant, I can’t … My white blood cell count is way too low for me to go out so I am stuck trying to get better. That’s alright, I’ll take that.”

Get well soon, Mark!
