Twister is about to get a reworking.

Universal is developing a reboot of the 1996 thriller that starred Bill Paxton (RIP) and Helen Hunt, the about-to-divorce storm-chasing couple who reunite to track the storm of the century.

Joseph Kosinski, whose Top Gun: Maverick is still up on blocks but due this December, is in talks to direct.

Twister was written by Jurassic Park’s Michael Crichton, it made close to a half billion at the global box office and became the second highest-grossing film of its year with only Independence Day standing in its way.

It’s also a fan fave.
