Melbourne tram rides are never really a pleasant experience, right?
What if there was a way to make that ride a hundred times better…
Guide Dogs Victoria has teamed up with Yarra Trams to throw an on-board puppy party. Yep, that’s right – you’ll be able to join the two-legged employees of Guide Dogs Victoria on route 19 tram (train number 5003), which you can find on the day via the TramTracker app.
The doggos will be travelling from Stop 7 to the Queen Vic Market down Elizabeth Street in the CBD with their two-legged friends from 2-4pm on Tuesday June 18.
The ‘Pat and Chat’ initiative aims to raise awareness for public transport accessibility for commuters with low vision or blindness. It’s also a great way for people to learn how to best assist a commuter with vision impairment or low vision.
So, ditch the car and jump on the route 19 tram this Tuesday for some pats and cuddles!
