Former royal Meghan Markle is facing a backlash from former staffers at Kensington Palace who say that they were bullied by the American actress.

The Times reports that at least two palace aides have lodged complaints over Markle’s time living at the palace after her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

The aides at the centre of the controversy reportedly complained of being reduced to tears by Markle, with two senior staffers allegedly bullied into leaving their roles at the palace.

Meanwhile, a third aide says that they had been personally humiliated by the actress.

However, a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan say that the allegations are an attack on her character.

“The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma,” a spokesperson told NBC News.

In The Times’ report it is claimed that the palace took no action on the claims after receiving the initial complaints.

The claims have become public ahead of Meghan and Harry’s highly-anticipated interview with Oprah.
