A software issue has caused the engines of thousands of Mazdas to stall without the ability to restart.

Mazda has recalled over 18,000 Mazda3, Mazda6, and CX-5s sold between February 2018 and May 2019 due to the issue.

It’s more bad news from Mazda who had to recall 3000 Mazda3’s a fortnight ago after fears the wheels may fall off.

Experts are worried this spate of issues could be symptomatic of a bigger problem with their manufacturing process.

Contact Mazda if you think your vehicle could be affected.
