Janet Jackson has cemented her comeback with a brand-new single “No Sleeep” that’s “sleep” spelled with three ‘e’s her first offering in nearly seven years.
The singer looks to enjoy every minute with her lover over the smooth beat, produced by longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Janet tweeted the song is dedicated to “my love,” presumably her husband, Wissam Al Mana.
“Day and night, I dream of us doing whatever/But I guess I’ll have to wait until that day comes,” she coos on the track, which is posted now on YouTube.
“No Sleeep” is the lead offering from Janet’s new album, tentatively titled Conversations in a Cafe, due out later this year on her own label Rhythm Nation Records/BMG.
