He’s the king of Carpool Karaoke, but after this performance with rock icons KISS, James Corden is the king of relatability.
The Late, Late Show host became the unofficial 5th member of the supergroup for a middle-aged remix of their signature track, Rock and Roll All Nite.
The re-imagined classic saw Corden trade lyrics with Gene Simmons, singing alternatives to rockin’ and rollin’ all night and partying every day:
“More than two drinks is a big mistake/ Can’t fall asleep and get the worst headache/ I got work tomorrow, let’s not get crazy.”
Then, as KISS belted the track’s refrain – “I wanna rock and roll all night/ And party every day,” Corden kept thing real with, “I wanna rock and roll one night, then get to bed around 8.”
