We live in a scary time, with the internet and all its wonders also opening up a window to a much darker world.

A world where strangers can literally enter our kids lives and take them away from us.

Kayleigh Haywood was a 15-year-old from the UK with her whole life ahead of her.

One day, a man contacted her over the internet, seemingly posing as a younger boy.

15 days later she was raped, murdered and her body was dumped in the woods.

With the support of Kayleigh’s parents, Leicestershire Police have made this short film to identify the dangers of speaking to strangers online, and to serve as a warning, following Kayleigh’s tragic and preventable death.
