Aussie rockers will be dusting off bandannas and getting leathers out after Guns N’ Roses confirmed they will tour Down Under next February.

The Not in this Lifetime tour brings together the band’s founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan, who are currently touring the US and South America.

It’s been 25 years since the trio have played together for Australian fans.

The band’s Aussie connection runs deep as Rose has been stepping in to sing for AC/DC on the remainder of their Rock or Bust tour following Brian Johnson’s departure because of hearing damage.

Their popularity here is long standing with their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, going platinum eight times following its release in 1987.

Every album they’ve released has achieved platinum status in Australia and they’ve racked up 14 ARIA top 50 singles.

The band will be nicely warmed up by the time they reach Australia having essentially kicked off their tour in the US earlier this year including a spot at the celebrity-packed Coachella festival.
