Duff McKagan is the subject of the forthcoming documentary It’s So Easy and Other Lies: Live at the Moore.

The film tells the Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver bassist’s life story through the lens of his 2013 performance at the Moore Theatre in Seattle during the book tour in support of his first memoir, It’s So Easy (and Other Lies). You can watch the documentary’s trailer now at RollingStone.com.

The film features commentary from Slash, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and Sixx:A.M., among others. In the trailer, Slash describes meeting McKagan for the first time when the bassist auditioned for GNR.  “I put an ad in [local newspaper] the Recycler, and in walked this six-foot-plus guy in a red-and-black, full-length trench coat,” Slash remembers.

It’s So Easy and Other Lies is directed by Christopher Duddy, who worked on visual effects for films such as Total Recall and Terminator 2. The documentary will open June 3.
