Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre was evacuated after a false emergency alarm was triggered.

Emergency services were called to the busy Melbourne shopping centre at approximately 1:20pm where an intoxicated woman was attended to by paramedics and taken to hospital.

“We experienced a false alarm at Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre just after 12:30pm today, which led to the evacuation of the centre for approximately 15 minutes,” centre manager Andrew Gibson told Daily Mail Australia.

“As always, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, retailers, team members and the wider community is our priority. No one was injured and at no point was anyone at risk.

“Within 15 minutes, the fire brigade deemed it was safe for everyone to return.

“We thank our customers and retailers for their patience and cooperation during this disruption.”

Shoppers took to social media claiming that “something had happened in Priceline” and the evacuation process was “chaotic”.
