Dave Grohl has revealed he wants to play drums for AC/DC.

The Foo Fighters frontman has previously played for Tenacious D, Queens Of The Stone Age, Beck and Nirvana, but earlier this week was asked if there was a dream artist he’d love to play drums for.

“AC/DC,” Grohl said. “That’s my last one, that’s it.”

He mentioned that Phil Rudd was back, AC/DC’s drummer who has been somewhat on-again, off-again… who’s now on again.

“If you dive back into their back catalogue,” Grohl told Forbes.

“That early shit, there was a little bit more dynamic, then they settled into the groove.”

“That’s the thing. And it’s because of Phil Rudd. It’s AC/DC, but that guy holds the key.”

A huge fan, Grohl has covered Acca Dacca a few times while playing for the Foos, however he did forget the words to Let There Be Rock that one time.

Instead of singing “All across the land every rockin’ band was blowin’ up a storm,” Grohl sang “Heygongaboonadadanoo” as a stop-gap.

We’ve all had that moment.

Here’s the band’s amazing tribute to AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young, who died on November 18, 2017.
