Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, who plays the hammer-wielding Norse god, described his most recent trip from Sydney to London with his three young children as hell during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The Hollywood actor is dad to one-year-old twin boys, Tristan and Sasha, and three-year-old daughter India Rose.

“We actually flew from Australia to London the other day and door-to-door it’s about a 30-hour trip, and it’s kind of like the trip from hell,” he told the US host.

“They were all sick and literally took it in turns to scream. Like one would kind of do it and look over and say ‘I’m done you want a turn?’ ‘Yup, wahhhh!’ The whole cabin wanted to kick us off,” he said.

Even though he’s just been named People’s sexiest man alive, and is about to appear as Thor again in upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron, its nice to hear that Hemsworth shares the same pain as other parents.

The actor also spoke proudly of his daughter who can speak both English and Spanish, thanks to her mum Elsa Pataky from Spain. “When you walk in the room if someone is not authentically Spanish she (India Rose) just won’t even have it. Even if my Mum or someone attempts to speak in English she’s like `that’s horrible you’re butchering the language, get out’,” he said.

However he did admit there are times when her bilingual talents create a language barrier.

“She’ll grab me by the face and she gets frustrated if she’s trying to describe something in Spanish,” he said.

“We were at the nature park the other day and she said `I want to see the pepitos’ or something, I know that’s not even an animal, and I’m like `I don’t know what that is’ and she’s grabbing my face saying `Papa, it’s Spanish it’s Spanish’.”
