Bobbi Kristina Brown is “doing well” and showing signs of improvement after her near-drowning incident last month, according to her aunt.

Whitney Houston’s only daughter from her marriage to Bobby Brown has been fighting for life in a medically-induced coma in hospital.

She was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub in the Roswell, Georgia home she shares with her partner Nick Gordon on January 31.

Her father Bobby updated fans about the 21-year-old’s condition this week, suggesting his daughter’s prognosis wasn’t as grim as has been report.

“God is hearing our prayers,” he said.

Now his relative Leolah Brown has confirmed things are looking up as Bobbi Kristina continues to receive treatment at Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital.

“There are so many signs showing us that she will be OK. Krissi is fine. She’s opening her eyes. Krissi is doing well right now. She is,” she told local news station WAGA-TV.

The news emerges on the third anniversary of Houston’s death and as Roswell Police Department officials confirm they are looking into the near-drowning incident as a criminal investigation.

Local police also released an emergency call from a security guard at the gated community where Brown and Gordon reside from January 23, a week before her hospitalisation, after one neighbour reported a domestic dispute outside the couple’s home.
