This is incredible!

In today’s world photos play an important part in building memories and capturing precious moments – a luxury a lot of us take for granted. Unfortunately, photos can’t provoke the same level of joy, elation or reflection for those who are blind and without sight.

But new technology – namely the use of 3D printers – has seen that begin to change. Watch the above video of a number of blind participants and the moment when they are given replica 3D models of their cherished photographs and memories.

Their faces say it all. Just having that tangible connection to reflect with seems to bring the memory closer and allows them to retain a more detailed account of their favourite moments in life.
