Black Sabbath will play a `farewell’ show at Ozzfest Japan later this year.
The iconic metal band led by Ozzy Osbourne appears to be coming to an end, according to a new promo for the event in November.
“Ozzfest will be back in Japan on November 21 and 22 and this will be Black Sabbaths farewell,” says Sharon Osbourne – Ozzy Osbourne’s manager.
The band reunited in 2011 to record their first studio album together since 1978, and they went on to score a huge hit with their record 13, topping both the US and UK album charts following its release in 2013.
However, their renewed success has been marred by guitarist Tony Iommi’s cancer diagnosis and he has been juggling his band commitments with his treatment.
No more details have been given and Ozzfest Japan and the rockers are yet to confirm whether the gig will be their last ever show, or just a farewell to Japan.
