Musician Billy Idol has announced that he will be auctioning off exclusive Meet & Greet packages for all his Australian shows, with all funds going to Rural Aid Australia and Animals Australia.

“Like you, I’ve been watching the terrible fires in Australia with great concern,” Idol wrote.

“The damage to humans and wildlife alike thus far has been devastating and as we prepare to come to play in Australia and New Zealand in the coming days our thoughts are with those dealing with the ongoing crisis.

“To help support fire relief efforts in Australia I’m honoured to do the following to help the cause. All funds raised will be donated to Rural Aid Australia and Animals Australia.

“My meet & greet packages in Sydney, Brisbane, & Auckland are sold out, but I’m going to auction off two more packages in Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland.”

The legendary singer/songwriter will also be releasing a limited number of free tickets to his Sydney and Brisbane shows for Australian first responders and other emergency personnel who have been battling the crisis.

A portion of Billy Idol’s merchandise sales in Brisbane and Sydney will also be donated to to the aforementioned charities.
