Open your windows and enjoy that cool breeze… it may not last for long.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, we’re entering an ‘extended Summer’ with above-average daytime and overnight temperatures for the month of Autumn.

The prediction comes after this past Summer was recorded as the third-warmest we’ve seen, and with data showing that Winters are becoming shorter over time, we can expect that this will become a new normal.

For the next week, Melbourne will still receive a drenching over the next few days before the temperature gradually rises to 26 degrees by Wednesday.
