AC/DC singer Brian Johnson has a follow up to his first book, Rockers and Rollers: A Full Throttle Memoir. No typical rock n roll tell-all, instead he’s concentrating on his love of cars and racing, along with other aspects of his life and career.
The first book led him to hosting a show on British television called Cars That Rock, and that in turn led to his second book, Cars That Rock – The Book, which he says is a “take on the fun we have when we’re filming me driving all these fabulous cars and the mishaps that happen behind-the-scenes.”
Despite being a gear head and hosting Cars That Rock on England’s Quest network, AC/DC singer Brian Johnson has no plans to replace Jeremy Clarkson on the very popular BBC auto show Top Gear.
He says, “I think they’ve made the wrong decision [firing Clarkson]… I would never throw my hat in the ring because I’m not good enough; he’s just a genius. He ain’t gonna be off the screen for long.” Clarkson was fired after punching the show’s producer. Top Gear airs in the U.S. on BBC America and in Australia on the Nine network.
Cars That Rock – The Book is expected to be released June 4 in Australia.
