A HORROR CRASH ON THE MONASH IS WREAKING HAVOC THIS MORNING.
A silver Holden wagon crashed into a concrete pillar after midnight at Mulgrave has left four seriously injured, including a teenager with life-threatening injuries.
It’s currently closed inbound between Wellington Road and Springvale Road, and expected to stay that way until 7am.
Traffic is already backed up to the Eastlink.
Traffic should turn right onto Blackburn Road and then back onto the Monash Freeway.
Two right lanes are also closed outbound between Ferntree Gully Rd and Wellington Road.
UPDATE: All lanes are now open, but it’s expected to take a long time for traffic to ease.
The Monash Freeway has re-opened to inbound traffic following a collision overnight between Wellington Rd and Springvale Road. Delays will take some time to ease. Consider the Princes Highway as an alternative. #victraffic
