Max Wright, best known for his role as Willie Tanner on the 1980s sitcom ALF, has died.
Wright, 75, passed away at his home in California after a battle with cancer, his family confirmed to TMZ.
Wright had been in remission “for a long time” after he was first diagnosed with lymphoma in 1995.
He also starred in a string of TV shows and movies including Cheers, Murphy Brown, Soul Man, Mad About You and some early episodes of Friends, playing the original manager of Central Perk.

His wife, Linda Ybarrondo, died in 2017 from breast cancer.
They had two children, Ben and Daisy.
