Your Uber Ride Is About To Get EVEN Better
First there was water, then there was mints, sometime even a starburst.
Now, Uber is about to take it to the next level.
They have partnered with Optus to bring us the worlds best thing; in car wi-fi.
That's right, you will soon be able to jump in a car and connect to free wi-fi in Melbourne and Sydney UberX's.
An initial trial will be rolled out in 100 cars with 10 people able to connect at one time, meaning everyone on the journey, will be able to use the service.
Uber drivers will also have access to discounted mobile and data plans, including a special $40 that will include 10GB of data and unlimited calls and texts.
Optus director Steve Long said the partnership is aimed at ''creating a truly connecting experience for drivers and riders''.
The announcement is just the next in line after we get UberUMPIRE on Australia day, sometimes puppies on demand and even Ice Cream delivered.
UberX is legal in New South Wales, Western Australia and the ACT but is illegal in all other states.
